Fawad Khan is one of the most famous and loved actors of Pakistan. He is a singer turned actor who blew the minds of his followers whether he sung or acted. He is known not only for his acting prowess but his good looks too. Fawad Khan was born on 29th November 1981 (Age: 35 years). He has worked not only in Pakistan but in India today and has gathered immense love from both sides of the border.
Fawad Khan is basically from Lahore. Due to his father’s job Fawad lived abroad till he turned 13. He has lived in Athens, Dubai, Riyadh and Manchester. Khan did his A-Levels from Lahore Grammar School (LGS) and later did computer engineering from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES). Though Fawad considers himself a terrible engineer.

Fawad Khan started his career in the entertainment world as a singer. His band’s name was Paradigm. Ahmed Ali Butt also had a band at the same time named Paradigm. Both these bands later merged and formed Entity Paradigm. Their first song was the title track for TV Series Jutt and Bond which also proved to be the acting debut for Fawad Khan. Later they recorded an album together called Irtiqa. The band disbanded later in 2012 as Fawad moved ahead to focus more on his acting career. EP however collaborated again for Coke Studio Season 3 where they performed Bolo Bolo. EP became famous when they participated in Pepsi Battle Of The Bands Season 1 and ended as runner-ups. Fawad has returned to the show after 15 years as a judge for Season 2 this year.
Fawad made his acting debut with television. He featured in a comic series Jutt and Bond with his friend Ahmed Ali Butt. Then he starred in Khuda Ke Liye where he did a supporting role. Khuda Ke Liye also marked Fawad’s cinematic debut in Pakistan. Fawad went on to star in several more projects like Dil Deke Jaenge, Satrangi and Jeevan Ki Rahon Main. Then came the period drama Dastaan where Fawad played his signature lover boy and his chemistry with Sanam Baloch made way deep into people’s hearts. Hassan’s character started etching path for success Fawad has now. He then played the character of a rural guy in Akbari Asghari. Kuch Pyaar Ka Pagal Pan Bhi Tha came after it. Then came Sarmad Khoosat’s Humsafar which proved to be a lucky charm in Fawad’s career. Fawad and his leading lady Mahira Khan became over night stars and household names. Fawad played Ashar Hussain a confused, romantic and mama’s boy in the drama and his character gathered huge fan following for him. His pair with Mahira Khan was extremely loved by the audience. He landed many advertisement campaigns too after that. Another of his drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai also paralleled the success of Humsafar and became more successful in India than in Pakistan. FILMS:
With increasing success Fawad got his Bollywood break in Sonam Kapoor starrer Khoobsurat for which he got Filmfare Award for Best Debutante Male. His next film Kapoor and Sons got him critical acclaim where he played a very unconventional character. He also got a cameo in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Later due to increasing political tension between India and Pakistan Fawad was banned from Bollywood which brought the star back to Pakistani cinema where he has signed two films. Highly anticipated Maula Jutt directed by Bilal Lashari which will be his comeback too after Waar. Fawad is playing the titular role of Maula Jutt while the negative role will be done by Hamza Ali Abbasi. Maula Jutt 2 is the remake of the Punjabi classic of the same name. Fawad will do Sultan Rahi’s role. His second venture is Albela Rahi which is a biopic and Fawad will play the role of singer Alamgir.
>PERSONAL LIFE:
Fawad is married to Sadaf Fawad Khan and has two kids; a son Ayan Khan and a daughter Elayna Khan. Fawad proposed Sadaf at the age of 17 and the couple got married later in 2005. Fawad is also a diabetes patient. He got diabetes type 1 after an accident where his pancreas was injured. Fawad also has a clothing brand known as SILK by Fawad Khan which he co-owns with his wife.
